World Vets Offers International Volunteer Opportunities for Veterinarians December 14, 2008

World Vets is a 501c3 nonprofit organization that provides free veterinary aid in areas of the world where veterinary care is limited. Many of their programs involve spay/neuter or other small animal projects although the organization also does projects that involve equine, livestock and exotics. The group has current projects in Panama, Belize, Honduras, Jamaica, Mexico, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Ecuador. Most projects last for 7-9 days and allow at least a day or two to explore the exotic locale or take part in scuba diving, sailing or other recreational activities. Positions for veterinarians, technicians, assistants, and veterinary students are available on every project. International volunteer opportunities are offfered by World Vets nearly every month.
